Mitzvah Opportunities

Here's your chance to do a mitzvah by helping fellow TBS members in need.  Perhaps they need a ride to a doctor's appointment, or someone to sit with a sick spouse.  Maybe they could use a friend to do some shopping for them.  Whatever it us, volunteer for the TBS Mitzvah Team and help out when you have the time!

There are almost endless ways to do a mitzvah -- to help someone else.  We'll highlight some of them here.  If you want to get involved -- or if you have an idea for a new mitzvah project -- let us know!

It’s time to focus on feeding the hungry. Project Isaiah is the Jewish community's annual High Holidays food drive benefiting the Jerry Doliner Food Bank.  TBS supports and participates in this Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties’ effort.

Fill a bag with UNOPENED, NON-PERISHABLE and NOT OUT-OF-DATE food and bring it to TBS. We’ll get it to the food bank!

The project is named for the Prophet Isaiah, who when asked why we fast on Yom Kippur, responded, "Is it not to share your bread with the hungry?" (Isaiah 58:7).
